Crunchy Apple Tart
Sweet and tart, with the characteristic Croccantini crunch you love, this tasty recipe for crunchy apple tart is an easy autumn treat!
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
Juice from 1/2 lemon
3 whole apples, cored, halved, and sliced (but not peeled)
1/4 cup chopped pecans
Optional: store-bought caramel for serving
- Place apple slices in a bowl, and add sugar, salt, and lemon juice. Stir to combine, so all slices are evenly coated, and let sit for a few moments.
- Cover a baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper, and lay out apple slices on sheet. Bake apple slices at 425F for approx. 20 minutes, or until apples are soft and golden brown.
- Remove apples from oven, and let cool for 5 minutes. Lay apples even on full-size Croccantini, then top with chopped pecans and caramel sauce (if desired), and serve immediately.
