An easy-to-make treat for the special people in your life.

2 sticks butter

3/4 cup brown sugar

12oz bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Candy topping of your choice (if desired)

Sea salt, if desired

Sprinkles, if desired

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.  Arrange full-size Croccantini on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter, then stir in brown sugar and bring to a boil.  Let boil for three minutes, stirring constantly to create toffee.  Pour toffee over Croccantini, and place in oven for approximately 5 minutes.
  3. Remove baking sheet from oven, and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over Croccantini.  Wait until chocolate chips become glossy (about 2-3 minutes), then spread the melted chocolate evenly across the Croccantini with a spatula.  Top Croccantini with the candy topping of your choice, sprinkles, and sea salt (if desired).
  4. Place baking sheet in the freezer, and let harden (about 2 hours).  Break apart, and enjoy, or store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
