Combining the complex sweetness of good crab with the tang of horseradish, this great appetizer is fantastic for functions and dinner parties.

1 8oz package of cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp milk
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp prepared horseradish
6oz crab meat, picked over
4 green onions (about 1/2 cup), sliced
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/4 tsp paprika

  1. Stir cream cheese in a medium bowl until smooth, then stir in milk, horseradish, black pepper, and crabmeat.
  2. Spread crabmeat mixture on Cracked Pepper Croccantini, or your favorite.  Top with green onions and sliced olives, then sprinkle with paprika.  Serve immediately.
